V4251 is a washable black methanol ink qualified for use in the Videojet 1580 and 1860 continuous inkjet (CIJ) printers. This ink is ideal for use on five gallon returnable polycarbonate water bottles. The ink codes are easily removed using common caustic or caustic-substitute wash solutions.

Applications for V4251-D and V4251-L
This ink is used for coding and marking returnable plastic water containers, typically 5-gallon bulk water bottles used in home and business water coolers which are returned, washed, refilled, and reused. Standard inks can leave a permanently etched ink code on the surface of the plastic and be difficult to remove. Other uses include temporary marking of a material for internal tracking, such as: marking on a glass windshield which is removed before the vehicle is shipped for sale, and marking food bins that convey product through a production process, which is later removed, re-coded, and reused with new batch.
