V4237 is a retort-resistant black MEK ink qualified for use in the Videojet 1580 and 1860 continuous inkjet (CIJ) printers. This ink has been specifically designed for code durability through tough high temperature steam retort and pasteurization processes used in the process of cooking prepared food containers for shelf stability.

Applications for V4237-D and V4237-L
This ink is used for coding and marking metal cans and plastic/foil pouches with food that require a retort process including: vegetables, fruit, soup, sauces, baby food, meat/fish, and ready-to-eat meals. During the cooking process, containers can get stacked, causing codes to come in contact with other containers. During those situations, this ink is transfer-resistant.
V4237 delivers excellent adhesion to a wide variety of other substrates including: acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polystyrene, polyvinylchloride (PVC), polycarbonate, polyester, steel, and nylon.
No MEK/Low VOC (V930) and no Drug Precursor (V940) cleaners are available.
