V4215 is a general purpose, violet MEK ink qualified for use in the Videojet 1580 and 1860 continuous inkjet (CIJ) printers. This ink has good contrast on metal substrates which typically have irregularly colored surfaces. It is ideal for use on a variety of substrates when an alternate color is desired. The printed code’s appearance is influenced by the substrate color.

Benefits of V4215-D and V4215-L
  • Good contrast on irregularly colored surfaces
  • Bright violet color when printed on light grey substrates
  • Dark violet when printed on darker grey substrates
  • Drop spreading achieves bolder print quality
  • Penetrates a thin layer of oil
  • Resistant to hydraulic fluid, diesel fuel, transmission fluid, acids, mineral spirits, and oils
  • Successor to legacy ink formulas 16-7900 and 16-8000
Applications for V4215-D and V4215-L
This ink is ideal for coding and marking automotive and aerospace parts including metal castings, extruded sheet metal, formed metal, and metal assembly parts and applications that require a unique violet color code. Varying the code color is useful to identify and segment date sensitive inventory, aid in stock rotation, different quality grades, or different regulatory standards.

V4215 delivers excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, including: aluminum, polystyrene, polycarbonate, polyester, and nylon.

A no MEK/low VOC (V930) cleaning solution is available

iQMark™: V4215 ink was responsibly designed and manufactured to maximize contrast, adhesion, and uptime while meeting safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Every batch is tested to ensure it meets strict quality control specifications.
