We have inks that will print through moisture on beverage bottles, resist common solvents typically seen by electronic components, have very fast dry times for high speed wire and cable applications and can be used for imaging directly on food items. We have inks that do direct addressing on magazines and catalogues, will print an invisible code to help combat grey/black market, print the bar code on U.S. mail, provide good lightfastness to withstand prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as well as inks that change colors to show evidence of a cooking process. This is just a small sample of how our inks are used. Videojet has provided solutions to thousands of customers in hundreds of different industries.

What range of ink colors do you offer?

Videojet offers a wide range of ink colors including black, white, yellow, red, orange, green, blue, brown, purple, pink, gray and magenta. We also have invisible inks that can be seen with UV light and inks that change color when subjected to certain environmental conditions.

What ink should I use for my particular application?

It is very important to select the right ink to meet the needs of your specific application. For this reason, choosing the best ink starts with us asking you a few questions, such as:

What is the material composition of your product? Is it glass, metal, plastic, etc.? You say it's plastic, we ask: what type of plastic? HDPE, LDPE, PE, etc.?

How fast does this ink need to dry?

In what condition is your product prior to coding (wet, dirty, oily, hot, cold, clean, etc.)?

What must the ink withstand once it has dried on your product (water, oil, heat, gasoline, alcohol, sunlight, steam, etc.)?

What adhesion properties do you need or, in other words, how well and for how long do you need the code to stick to your product; short term, long term, do you need it to wash out, etc.?
