Starting with the code, Videojet separates itself from the competition. We have developed a proprietary code algorithm that is as powerful as it is flexible. But we’re adaptable enough to work with any code, executing yours or adapting ours to your needs.

Our codes can be derived from a combination of your data and some form of encryption; they can be fully pseudo-randomly generated, or we can operate entirely with third-party codes. We offer codes in human-readable alphanumeric, linear bar code and 2D Data Matrix format. And we can make all of these codes EPC-compliant. Most industry experts and customers agree that 2D Data Matrix coding is the most efficient way to carry vital information, and this is our specialty.

Our codes require only a fraction of the data to be stored and transmitted within the supply chain as compared to other solutions. And our codes are created in real time and never transmitted over the internet, which keeps your production floor moving quickly and eliminates any risk that codes could be stolen or diverted.

Our encrypted codes are unbreakable. We can guarantee that there is no repetition within our code systems and that our codes are always recognizable against any conceivable counterfeit attempt. We third-party verify our codes for uniqueness. Furthermore, we provide security of data from generation through end-report. Our data is accessible through a secure FTP, and the data is encrypted so that even if it were hijacked, it would be useless to the hijacker.

After our powerful codes, we get even stronger. We engineer all our own printers – they’re industry-standard – to give you more production-floor options than anyone else. We can print 2D variable-data bar codes on the fly faster than any other company, up to 1,500 items per minute. This is a distinct bar code for every single item, generated and printed without affecting the rate of production.
